Langur Burja(Jhandi Munda)

"Langur Burja" is well known as a gambling game mostly played in Nepal and India. In Nepal , it is known as Khorkhore but in India , it is known as Jhanda Burja. This game is similar to British game named "Crown and Anchor". It is mostly played legally only on certain occasion like Dashain , Tihar( mainly on festive season of Nepal ).

WHAT ARE THE SYMBOLS USED IN LANGUR BURJA?

Six dices are used in Langur Burja. The dices are equal in size and shape to standard dice. Symbols such as langur (Jhanda) , burja , diamond(eet), spade(surat), club (chidi) and heart (paan) are used . Symbols such as diamond , spade , club and heart are the same symbols used on playing cards.

HOW TO PLAY?

Since it is a guessing game players can place their bets on any of the six symbols. Players will place a bet and will roll the dices.

The rules to play Langur Burja are:

1) If none or one of the dices show the symbol which holds a bet then the player will lose bet money.

2) But , if two or three or four or five or six of the dices shows the symbol which holds a bet , then the player will win twice or thrice or four times or five times or six times the bet according to the result. Also, the original bet money too. For example , if I place bet of 100 rupees on "Langur" and three of the dices shows "Langur" when the bucket is lifted then I will get 300 rupees..

"Langur Burja" es bien conocido como un juego de apuestas que se juega principalmente en Nepal y la India. En Nepal, se conoce como Khorkhore pero en India, se conoce como Jhanda Burja. Este juego es similar al juego británico llamado "Crown and Anchor". Se juega principalmente legalmente solo en ciertas ocasiones como Dashain, Tihar (principalmente en la temporada festiva de Nepal).

¿CUÁLES SON LOS SÍMBOLOS UTILIZADOS EN LANGUR BURJA?

 Seis dados se utilizan en Langur Burja. Los dados son iguales en tamaño y forma a los dados estándar. Se utilizan símbolos como langur (Jhanda), burja, diamante (eet), espada (surat), club (chidi) y corazón (paan). Símbolos como el diamante, la espada, el palo y el corazón son los mismos símbolos que se usan en las cartas.

¿CÓMO JUGAR?

Como es un juego de adivinanzas, los jugadores pueden hacer sus apuestas en cualquiera de los seis símbolos. Los jugadores harán una apuesta y tirarán los dados.

  Las reglas para jugar Langur Burja son:

1) Si ninguno de los dados muestra el símbolo que contiene una apuesta, el jugador perderá el dinero de la apuesta.

2) Pero, si dos o tres o cuatro o cinco o seis dados muestran el símbolo que contiene una apuesta, el jugador ganará dos o tres veces o cuatro veces o cinco o seis veces la apuesta de acuerdo con el resultado. Además, el dinero de la apuesta original también. Por ejemplo, si apuesto 100 rupias en "Langur" y tres de los dados muestran "Langur" cuando se levanta el cubo, obtendré 300 rupias.
